Hello, everyone. I've been contemplating this post for some time, and I believe it's time to share it. Initially, I intended to wait until our new website was up and running smoothly, but progress seems slower than expected. We're implementing changes to the fabric bases we offer and adjusting pricing. Please don't worry just yet; these changes are in your best interest. Firstly, we're reducing the pricing on our polyester bases. You may have noticed many fabric shops offering sales lately, and it's likely because their small businesses are facing challenges. Despite our efforts to maintain quality, quick turnarounds, and excellent customer service, we're affected by the current economic climate.
After extensive discussions, we firmly believe that reducing our polyester bases is in both our and your best interests. However, this decision comes with some changes:
1. We are streamlining our offerings to include only one weight of Double Brushed Polyester (DBP). Previously, we had both 180GSM and 250GSM options available. While the 180GSM was priced lower, many customers expressed a preference for the 250GSM despite the price difference. We've negotiated with our supplier to match the pricing of the 180GSM, allowing us to offer the 250GSM at the same price point. Moving forward, we will exclusively offer the 250GSM DBP. Rest assured, this DBP maintains exceptional quality, and we're confident that you'll be satisfied even if you were a fan of the 180GSM. The price for custom printing will $16 per yard & $18 for our in house designers.
2. We're simplifying our swimwear fabric offerings to feature just one weight. After conducting tests with various testers, we received unanimous positive feedback on the new swim fabric. We're confident that you'll love it too. By transitioning to a single weight, you no longer have to struggle with choosing between two options, providing you with greater peace of mind in your selection process. The new weight is 250GSM, which is between the two swims we offered. The price for custom printing will $19 per yard & $21 for our in house designers.
3.) Rib, wide rib, & bullet is now $16 per yard on customs & $18 per yard for designers.
We're also implementing changes to our natural fiber selection. We've decided to discontinue the bamboo spandex 200gsm due to its tendency to wrinkle easily during printing, leading to flaws in the final product. Furthermore, customer dissatisfaction with this base has been a recurring issue, mainly because its lightweight nature struggles to hold ink effectively. To compensate for this change, we're reducing the custom printing price of bamboo cotton spandex to $22 per yard, making it more competitively priced. Overall, we believe that the bamboo cotton spandex offers superior quality and can easily replace the 200gsm option. Rest assured, there will be no changes to the bamboo 240gsm fabric.
It's crucial to highlight that transitioning our pricing and bases for our designers will be a gradual process. With over 7,000 products, bulk editing the variants (bases) isn't a simple task. After careful consideration, I've decided to delete the collections and re-add them with the correct bases, but this will require a significant amount of time. We appreciate your patience as we work diligently to implement these changes across the website.
Please be aware that, in addition to this decision, we have discontinued the flat-rate shipping for orders over 10 yards. Starting from March 10, 2024, shipping costs will be calculated based on the actual cost.
If you’ve placed an order with a base that has been removed or changed it will be fulfilled with the base you ordered. We are fulfilling orders with what your order confirmation says so there is zero confusion.
